  • Chili powder, to taste
  • Cumin, to taste
  • Smoked paprika, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the diced onion to the pot and sauté until softened for about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; mix well to combine.
  4. Pour in the pinto beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies, diced green chilies, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for approximately 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed; mash a few beans against the pot for a thicker consistency if desired.
