Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls (5 count each)
  • 4 large apples (2 Honeycrisp, 2 Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (plus more for greasing)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for icing)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • vanilla
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin tin with softened butter.
  2. Press the cinnamon rolls into each muffin cup, forming a cavity for the apple filling.
  3. In a bowl, mix peeled and diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, melted butter, and cornstarch dissolved in water. Microwave until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  4. Fill each roll with the apple mixture using a slotted spoon to avoid excess syrup.
  5. Mix streusel topping ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over the filled rolls.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, covering loosely with foil for the first five minutes.
  7. Whisk icing ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls after cooling slightly.
